Our Story

On January 28th, 2025 contact was made to a company named Centurial Inc. in regards to building a single person vehicle.

The email was simple, it was someone wanting to get a vehicle not for sport, not for luxury, but something they could afford and could protect them from the elements as they went from work to home and back (this included things like a heater and AC for traveling during really hot months or cold months, and water proof stripping to make sure you stay dry when driving.)

First contact was made because Centurial inc. had a concept piece that was on their website and it showed up in a deep search for something unique and similar to other single seater vehicles. But we wanted to do something unique and different. Instead of just selling a car, the whole project from beginning to end was done with “open source” in its DNA. Every aspect was discussed with the idea that it would be released to the public in this way and we planned our design accordingly.

Drafting and part selection.

Both parties went over design choices like number of wheels, electric vs gas, weight, functionality in different weather climates, specifications, features, parts and components. Everything from what the type of frame would be used and what materials would be easiest for not only us, but others with their own limitations could work with. This was where the real first drafts for the design came in.

There were many different options being juggled around. Different parts lists, potential motors and components used and obstacles like being unable to use glass or finding suitable reverse options for pulling in and out of parking spaces, deals on how long testing would be conducted before release to the buyer, and many more particulars. Even the concept pieces were just ideas. It wasn’t until we began to build that we would know how it all came together.

Payment

After a rough parts list and Specification requirements had been set, payment was given and construction was officially in production.

construction and design competition.

To present day a number of things have been changed. Things like a more rounded nose of the vehicle for the purpose of better aerodynamics, or reduction of wheel covers for better fit and reduction of weight. Or a change of engine and alteration to the rear panels to open up for better airflow to the radiator. The vehicle is functional, but it doesn’t quite hit the spots we wanted. So, we want to make it one with the community by releasing what we have so far and seeing what alterations you brilliant people can come up with.

As of today, we are still testing alterations to the vehicle, stress testing, sketching and testing designs aerodynamics in software and more. And we are hosting the competition to see what kind of amazing alterations can be made for everyone.

Additional functionality

To add to what this vehicle can do, a trailer hitch was added and experimentation began on how that one piece of equipment augments the functionality of this vehicle. With that addition, the amount of things one can do just exploded. From taking it hiking, carrying a bicycle on a bike rack, to camping in the woods, or even using it to haul large pieces of equipment to and from places. All of this from one alteration and we cannot stress how amazing it feels as an addition!
